Connemara is the western part of County Galway that lies between the Atlantic Ocean and Lough Corrib. It contains some of Ireland's most breathtaking and solitary scenery, a wilderness both stony and watery. The Quiet Man Bridge was made famous as a location for the Oscar winning 1952 Film of the same name featuring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara.
